XCOM 2War of the Chosen is the largest expansion in the entire series, weighing in at about twice the size of previous expansions. With this release the game will get new factions, hero classes, missions, environments, and more content to enhance the strategy and customization options.
Today, developer Firaxis and publisher 2K released a new XCOM 2: War of the Chosen, an upcoming expansion for XCOM 2, video that shows off some new gameplay footage. In order to successfully complete the mission, players will need to escort both the Reaper and Skirmisher leaders to a negotiating point. Fortunately for the player, the Lost do not use cover, nor do they have ranged attacks. The Assassins are lethal alien agents experts in stealth and melee combat, and who require an excellent strategy by the player to come out alive from the battle. The new video introduces fans to two of these: the Reapers, who are described as "masters of concealment", and a group of former ADVENT soldiers called the Skirmishers. After all, Firaxis has already proclaimed XCOM 2'sWar of the Chosen to be a piece of DLC so massive in scope that it nearly became XCOM 3 instead of an expansion pack.
