  • Blade Runner 2049

Previously, we knew that Ryan Gosling stars as the new Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K, whose quest leads him on a search to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).

We're a little over a month out from the debut of Blade Runner 2049 and this new global TV spot (a trailer, really) now gives us a clearer picture of just what's going on in this plot.

Blade Runner 2049 opens in theaters on October 6th.

The latest global spot shines a light on Niander Wallace, the villain played by Jared Leto. Here, not only do we get a sense of what replicant-creating villain Jared Leto is really up to, but we also get lots of new action-packed footage featuring new blade runner Officer K (Gosling) and classic blade runner Rick Deckard (Ford) fighting off presumably Leto's "army" of replicants through explosions, flying vehicle chases and fist fights.

South Korea joint military exercises provocative
Harris, Hyten, and Greaves will observe the exercises this year amid heightened tensions with North Korea. China again called for the "dual suspension" of North Korea's nuclear weapons program and U.S.

Also starring Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks, Blade Runner 2049 looks to be one of the most exciting, star-studded releases of 2017. "Replicants are the future of the species".

Arrival's Denis Villeneuve is directing the movie, with original Blade Runner director Ridley Scott serving as executive producer.

In this new worldwide spot, we once again hear from Leto's soft-spoken, creepy Niander Wallace about how "humanity can not survive" and "replicants are the future of the species".
