After this decision, both the accused will be kept under judicial custody till August 25. They had been released on bail.

On Wednesday, the police made a decision to press attempt to kidnap charge against Vikas Barala and another person, who had allegedly stalked and tried to abduct the daughter of an IAS officer, officials had said.

The video footage adds substance to the allegations made by the girl claiming the both Vikas and Ashish were intoxicated the night they chased and tried to abduct her.

"It was revealed after reviewing footage from three CCTV cameras that the woman was chased by a auto from Sector 18 area to the Rajiv Nagar turning".

The police are taking cognizance of the video and will use it against the accused to establish the case.

Vikas Barala, son of Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Subhash Barala was sent to a 14 day juidicial custody. 'I had 2 beers, ' he said.

The two accused were booked and re-arrested a couple of days ago under non-bailable sections of attempted abduction in the Varnika stalking case. Subhash Barala's son and another person have been arrested. It said that they had sufficient evidence against the accused.

The VVIP son and his friend had earlier refused to give their blood and urine samples during the investigation after their detention.

Later, talking to reporters outside the court, the defence lawyer asserted that both Vikas and his friend did not commit any offence.

A CCTV camera footage showing the two accused, Vikas Barala and his accomplice Ashish, buying liquor from an outlet in Sector 9 Chandigarh has surfaced in the high profile Varnika Kundu stalking and attempted abduction case.
