Following an information about the presence of militants, the forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Avneera village of Zainapora area of the district triggering an encounter. There were reports that one of the militants could be a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen.

Separately, two police officials and a soldier were injured after rebels sprayed gunfire at government forces laying a cordon in northeastern Hajin area early Sunday. Almost 150 militants were killed previous year. The defence ministry has given a go-ahead to a proposal suggesting a requirement of 544 robots, army officials said.

Giving other details, the spokesman said "five army personnel were injured during the encounter who were shifted to hospital for treatment. He was also involved in firing on Bn Hqrs IRP 18th Bn Reshipora and on Army party at Moolu Chitragam".

Trump Declares Opioid Crisis A "National Emergency"
So if we can keep them from going on and maybe by talking to youth and telling them: "'No good, really bad for you in every way'". While not giving specifics, declaring a national emergency will allow for federal funds to be allocated to the problem.

Sources said taking cover of the darkness, the militant commanders are reported to have escaped from the area while three militants identified as Irfan-ul-Sheikh, Umar Majeed and Adil Malik, were killed in the encounter. Martyr Sep Gawai Sumedh Waman, 25 years of age, had joined the Army in 2011 and hailed from Village Lonagra in Akola, Maharashtra.

The security forces have been now using a remotely operated vehicle Daksh to handle the improvised explosive devices, the report said. Meanwhile, stone pelting clashes erupted near the encounter site. The encounter, which broke out since late last night, also led to the martyrdom of two soldiers. "They were evacuated to army hospital in Srinagar, where two of the critically injured soldiers succumbed to injuries", they said. The injured security personnel were hospitalized.

The new recruits mostly belong to Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts in south Kashmir, which has become the hub of tech-savvy militants. This led to clashes between the protesters and the security personnel that left over a dozen protesters injure with pellets.
