All madrasas affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Shiksha Parishad, will not only have to host cultural events on Independence Day this year, but also get the events videographed and photographed as "evidence".

In Mau, District Madarsa Management Association chief Arshad Nomani said that the UP government's order casts aspersions on the integrity and sincerity of madarsas whereas these institutions played an important role in the Independence movement of the country.

Students have been asked to sing songs on nationalism and discuss the history of August 15 and the freedom fighters. After that, homage will be paid to the soldiers and martyrs of the freedom struggle. A cultural program on national unity and sports events will follow then and the program will end with sweet distribution.

Earlier in the day, UP Madarsa Shiksha Parishad had directed all Madarsas in the state to unfurl national flag and recite national anthem on August 15. Sources said that the decision to video graph the events was taken after reports that some madrasas did not follow procedures on Independence Day celebrations.

Pakistan blast: 15 dead, dozens injured in blast in Quetta
The ISPR further said that incendiary explosives were used in the attack and that was the reason why nearby vehicles caught fire. Some of the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta and an emergency was declared in hospitals in the vicinity.

There are around 8,000 madrasas in the state that are recognised by the parishad.

The madarsas have also been asked to pay tribute to freedom fighters and organise cultural programmes.

Adding to the order, the chairman of the MP Madrasa Board, Syed Imad Uddin, told ANI that it's a routine order to celebrate the I-Day.

Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board on Friday issued an advisory to Madarsas to hoist the national flag on Independence Day. The programme should be concluded by candies distribution among the students.
