Trump says diplomats expelled from Russian Federation save U.S. money

  • First lady Melania Trump listens to her husband President Trump speak at a meeting with administration officials on the opioid addiction crisis at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster N.J. on Tuesday

BENNETT: Well the president this afternoon said the White House is drawing up paperwork to declare the opioid crisis a national emergency, apparently overruling his health and human services secretary, Tom Price, who on Tuesday said that an emergency declaration wasn't even necessary. It was somewhat infamously reported that during the G20 summit, when other world leaders walked 80 yards outdoors to a meeting, Trump followed behind in a golf cart.

"I applaud (New Jersey) Gov. (Chris) Christie and his team for their diligent work in finding solutions for treatment and prevention".

Referring to his Tuesday's statement that North Korean threat to the USA will be met with "fire and fury", he said the message wasn't tough enough and it's time to act for the people of America.

As a member of the Health and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittees, Collins has participated in six subcommittee hearings discussing the government and states responses to the crisis, fentanyl, and professional and academic perspectives. As yet, there has been no accompanying White House press release or statement. Today he said maybe that threat wasn't tough enough.

Trump Stiffens Resolve Against North Korea
It urged Washington to deploy some of its atomic weapons to South Korea if it did not want to see a nuclear-armed Seoul. Trump had vowed to attack North Korea, if it starts a war, with a " fire and fury like the world has never seen".

Trump came out in opposition of the legislation.

However, the president did not divulge any details as to how the United States is planning to tackle the North Korean threat.

Trump has said he believes USA intelligence agencies' conclusions that Russian Federation meddled in the election, but he has dismissed the ongoing investigations into possible collusion between Moscow and his campaign aides as a "witch hunt".

"The opioid crisis is an emergency, and I'm saying officially right now: It is an emergency". Trump answered, "We're going to draw it up, and we're going to make it a national emergency". It's something they wanted because it allows the Trump administration to direct money toward expanding treatment facilities and also to providing emergency responders with anti-overdose medications. A spokesman referred back to the president's remarks. "You shouldn't need to know anything more, if you're the president, to say, 'We must take dramatic actions starting immediately, ' but he chose not to". During the Obama administration, reporters recall being told who President Barack Obama was golfing with and when. If he doesn't get repeal and replace done and if he doesn't get taxes done - meaning cuts and reform - and if he doesn't get a very easy one to get done, infrastructure - if he doesn't get them done, then you could ask me that question.
