'First Amendment and boobs': CNN segment on ESPN turns into sexism debate

He replied: "That's what I do: Because I like boobs and the First Amendment, which is exactly what I said".

Fellow panelist Keith Reed said the segment hijacking was irrelevant, and also brought up the sexism faced by women such as Hill and Baldwin, who ended the bit. "You believe in the First Amendment and b-double-o-b-s?"

Travis appeared on CNN to discuss ESPN host Jemele Hill, who stirred controversy earlier this week by tweeting that President Donald Trump was a "white supremacist".

Though his counterparts were visibly upset, Travis shamelessly stood by his remarks.

Immediately after the segment, both Baldwin and Travis took to Twitter to remark on what had happened. But the segment was quickly sidetracked when Travis first noted his "belief" in "boobs" and the First Amendment.

"I'm done", she said.

Greitens put the National Guard on standby in the days leading up to the verdict as a precautionary step ahead of possible unrest. Both officers got out, Stockley carrying a duty pistol and an AK-47 rifle, which he wasn't permitted to carry by the department.

While Travis didn't want Hill to be fired because he "believes in the first amendment", he didn't like the way ESPN worded their statement.

"I'm astonished at nearly everything I just heard", Reed said before castigating Travis for what he perceived as sexist remarks.

"That had absolutely nothing to do with sports, and they said, look, you can't have this opinion, it's too conservative, we're not going to allow it", Travis reasoned. Travis rehashed the line a few times, never completely clearing up the expectation behind his announcement. Live television happens and you think you hear something, but you're not really sure.

"Why are you sitting here, live on CNN - why would you even say that live on national television and with female host?"

Travis has sharply criticized ESPN in recent days for what he perceives as taking a "leftist" slant, and he continued to take shots at the network during his CNN appearance.

A still flabbergasted Baldwin apologized to viewers for the conversation and said she should have pulled the plug even sooner. "The first amendment and boobs".
