Horror fans can expect to be scared silly by the series one last time just over a year from now.

The new Halloween will be in theaters on October 19th, 2018.

The actress will reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode in the Halloween franchise in 2018.

Consider yourself warned of spoilers for a fifteen-year-old movie, but there's something unusual about the news that Jamie Lee Curtis will be returning to the Halloween film franchise. The character was supposedly killed off in Halloween: Resurrection, so the writers will have some explaining to do.

Of course, we'll have to wait until next October to find out for sure, or at least for the first trailer to drop so we can unfairly start speculating.

Wisconsin legislature approves Foxconn deal, sends to Gov. Walker for signature
That put the pressure on Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald to secure the needed votes without making any changes. The vote could be delayed to Saturday or beyond if Republicans can't convince one of the holdouts to change their position.

She's back! The upcoming Halloween reboot is really picking up some steam and now Blumhouse Productions has released some new, exciting, official details on the movie.

The New Halloween 5 - The other approach would be to accept the events of Halloween 1, 2, 7 & 8 as all being canon, and this new sequel would essentially be the fifth film in original series.

But whatever. Michael Myers is pretty invincible. The film, co-written and directed by scary-movie genius John Carpenter, literally defined a new generation of horror (aka: super creepy guy terrorizes group of teens). It has been much longer since we've seen an arguably good Halloween movie, which was probably Halloween: H20. Same issues. 40 years later. Laurie had actually casually been killed off prior to that in 1988's Halloween 4, which centered on her orphaned daughter Jamie. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween.

Okay, if we're being honest, we're a little hesitant about this new chapter.
