Apple has confirmed that a string of new emoji will be made available with iOS 11.1, the first major update to its newly released operating system.

Finally, iOS 11 is here in all its glory, and in case the software's new features weren't exciting enough, Apple is also releasing hundreds of new emoji. A public beta preview is coming next week.

The new emojis which Apple is bringing will include new faces like a silly face, a swearing face, a face making the "shhh" gesture and a face with a monocle, along with gender-neutral characters.

Other upcoming emojis, according to Apple, include ones with sign language, mythical creatures such as a male fairy and animals, including a giraffe and hedgehog.

The new emoji will be available on all Mac devices and talking about iPhone X, it may get more fun emojis.

iOS 11.1 is becoming more inclusive and, in some cases, gender-neutral.

Clemson continues ideal start with 28-14 win over Wake Forest
Bryant walked in a black, protective boot - complete with an orange Tiger paw logo - around his left ankle. Those intangibles have led to them a 4-1 record with the only loss being to Florida State last week.

However, the forthcoming software update follows iOS 11.0.2 update, which the company launched this week.

Facebook released new family emojis earlier this year with a range of skin tones and family makeups.

Google also redesigned emojis for Android users, and unveiled the new icons in September. What are your thoughts on the new emoji coming with iOS 11.1?

In total there is expected to be more than 200 additions to the already sizeable emoji library.

There's not just a "Unicode Consortium" created by the tech giants rolling out all the rules but the sure to come "Emoji Grand Council" on the lookout for offenders. In 2016 Futuremark collected 1,00,000 benchmark results of Apple iPhones including seven different models in its quest.
