Arby's releases venison and elk sandwiches to kick off hunting season

  • Arby's Venison Sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll. The venison is marinated in garlic salt and pepper and then sous-vide for three hours to juicy tender perfection

Well, you're in luck because it's deer season at Arby's. The chain did this a year ago for almost a month-long period in 6 states and it was a big hit - some locations sold out within 15 minutes. But this time, venison will be available at all 3,300 Arby's outlets nationwide, a report by USA Today said.

Arby's Venison Sandwich will only be available in limited quantities. Venison sandwich were served in just five hunting-centric locations past year as part of a limited-edition offer, and the response was to the offer so strong that the company chose to take it nationwide.

The venison sandwiched, tried in a limited release past year, will be available in all 3,300 stores across the nation, while the elk will be available in three restaurants in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

But just because they aren't as elusive as elk doesn't mean that the venison will last. According to Taylor, Arby's choice of venison is a grass-fed and free-range New Zealand import. Jim says it took a little over a year to set up an arrangement with suppliers in order to secure enough product for what he calls "the biggest venison promotion in the world and restaurant has ever done".

Embattled credit bureau says it was hacked again
The company has taken part of its website offline after an independent analyst said the site may have been hacked. In many cases, even more personal data was exposed, including driver's license and credit card numbers.

The chain is also experimenting with an elk sandwich.

Arby's also stated in their release that they are testing an elk sandwich, which features a tender elk steak topped with blackberry port steak sauce and crispy onions on a toasted specialty roll, also on the same day.
