While no mention has been made of a DB11 V12 Volante, this engine is offered with the coupe, so it's likely to follow in due course.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante is a drop-top with a V8 leaning instead of a V12.LONDON, Oct 13 -Aston Martin has cut the roof off the DB11 and chopped four cylinders off its engine to create the all-new DB11 Volante, a convertible that it claims has the potential to redefine the open-top sports GT auto market. This version looks great with the top up or down, and no, it isn't just you - we're getting F-Type vibes from the vehicle, too.
The existing DB11 coupe is certainly the starting point, or at least its new bonded aluminum structure. Priced from £159,900, the new convertible model shows the DB11's sharp new styling in a different, slightly more traditional light. Compared to the DB9 Volante, it's more than 57 pounds lighter and 5-percent stiffer. The DB11 Volante has a striking single-piece aluminium bonnet, new wood or carbon fibre veneer panels on the seat backs, a tailored fabric hood available in a choice of bordeaux red, black silver or grey silver, ultra-slim "light blade" tail lights, and new design forged alloy wheels. While weighing less and being easier to package, a total of eight fabric layers are said to insulate the cabin from excessive road noise. It takes just 14 seconds to lower, and you can operate it at speeds of up to 31 miles per hour.
What Gaydon also tells us is that the DB11 Volante features three-stage powertrain and chassis modes that team up with an eight-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. That's a first for a Volante model.
Prices for the Volante start at £159,900 in the United Kingdom, €199,000 in Europe and $216,495 in the US. "The new DB11 Volante captures those qualities perfectly and promises the kind of pleasure and enjoyment that can only come from driving an open-top Aston Martin", Aston Martin CEO, Dr Andy Palmer. If you're anxious that the soft top roof won't be as strong as a metal one, Aston Martin went to extreme lengths to test the rigidity of the DB11 Volante's roof mechanism.
But this time, venison will be available at all 3,300 Arby's outlets nationwide, a report by USA Today said. According to Taylor, Arby's choice of venison is a grass-fed and free-range New Zealand import.
