Walt Disney Animation Group has shut down a planned Jack and the Beanstalk animated film titled very big.

Disney Animation just made a huge announcement. This is where their then-upcoming feature huge comes in, which we are sad to report has been canceled. With 'Gigantic, ' we've come to that point, and although it's a hard decision, we are ending active development for now.

Enormous was originally scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 21, 2018 and was subsequently pushed back to the 2020 slot. The Jack and the Beanstalk re-vamp was to be about an alternate version of the fairy tale where Jack makes a friend in the giant he meets at the top of the beanstalk. This release will follow the studio's two upcoming sequels; Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 on November 21, 2018, and Frozen 2 on November 27, 2019. Dominating the hand-drawn animation genre for decades after that, the studio quickly adapted to computer animation following the groundbreaking debut of Pixar's Toy Story in 1994, a film that Disney distributed at the time and company it became permanent partners with after it purchased the animation studio in 2006.

Catmull also mentions that Disney will be focusing on "another project that has been in the works, which we'll be sharing more about soon, now set for Thanksgiving 2020".

Cook County board votes 15-1 to repeal sugary drink tax
Just over two months since it was implemented , Cook County commissioners have soured on a penny-per-ounce tax on sugary drinks. David Goldenberg, a spokesman for the industry-funded Can the Tax Coalition said that Consumer indignation is off the charts.

Gigantic, Disney Animation's original feature project that was to have been released in 2020, is being shelved.

The film had Inside Out co-writer Meg LeFauve and Nathan Greno (Tangled) directing with Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kirsten Anderson-Lopez attached as the songwriters.

If you've ever heard the long and gruelling process The Emperor's New Groove went through, this kind of cancellation should come as no surprise.
