Facebook acquires anonymous teen compliment app tbh

Facebook is once again making the headlines as the giant has acquired a new tbh app which focuses on the US Teens.

Launched in August, tbh rocketed to the top of the app store, and it has since been downloaded by more than 5 million people who have used tbh to send more than a billion messages.

The app, whose name stands for To Be Honest, will operate separately from Facebook, similar to how the social network handled its acquisition of photo-sharing app Instagram, Facebook said. "When we met with Facebook, we realized that we shared numerous same core values about connecting people through positive interactions".

According to TechCrunch, the deal has been finalized at less than $ 100 million, and the four members will become employees of Facebook. The acquisition is part of Facebook's efforts to appeal to teenagers.

"So, this can be seen as a protective measure, and $100m is the equivalent of an account sheet rounding error - it's no money to them".

Canadian Says Child Killed, US Wife Raped In Afghanistan During Kidnapping
USA officials have long accused Pakistan of ignoring groups like the Haqqani network. "Canada has been actively engaged on Mr. Mr Boyle's family thanked "everybody for all their prayers and good wishes" in an interview with the Toronto Star .

Facebook said: "tbh and Facebook share a common goal - of building community and enabling people to share in ways that bring us closer together. Going forward, your experience on tbh won't change and we'll continue to build the features you love-now with plenty more resources". It's the No. 1 free app on the iTunes charts - ahead of YouTube, Snapchat and Instragram.

The app isn't just a standard messaging app, though. The app is designed for the teenagers of 13 and above. But a user can still use tbh if the person is in college or have already graduated.

One of the friends (they have to have also downloaded the app) are notified when they are selected, but the details of who chose them is kept anonymous. On the first day, almost 40 percent of the school downloaded it. "The next day it was in three more schools, and then the next day it was in 300 schools".

Perhaps most clearly, TBH is yet another channel where Facebook can command the time and attention of young people.
