The story about an IN couple discovering a hidden camera IN their Florida Airbnb rental is taking the internet by storm.

He also pointed INSIDER to Airbnb's rules about electronic surveillance devices, which clearly state that hosts must "fully disclose" the presence of any security cameras "at or around" their properties.

A couple vacationing in Longboat Key, Florida, allegedly found a hidden camera and microphone in their Airbnb rental, the Sun Sentinel reports.

"We grabbed a considerable measure of PC stockpiling information gadgets, hard drives, PCs, portable workstations SD cards anything that would store information", Lt.

Homeowner Wayne Natt (56) had rented apartment according to police two years over Airbnb. Upon further investigation, they discovered it wasn't a smoke detector at all, but rather a spycam! Starnes said he had more than 40 surveys on Airbnb.

"We don't know if there are local victims, someone who may have been dating him or a companion that doesn't realize they are being videotaped, and then we have the other side of who he rented to through Airbnb", Bourque said.

Bourque was one of the officers who responded to the condo at Cedars Court.

"He says that everyone videoed had knowledge he was videoing them", Bourque told WFTS.

Natt said that location of the camera "gave him a better angle", according to Bourque.

Airbnb officials said they're "outraged" by the accusations and permanently banned Natt from its service as soon as it learned of his arrest. What we said to that was... if individuals are consenting to recording sexual action why is it covered up in a smoke caution?

Natt was arrested on September 29 and later released on a bond of $1,500, records show. "We take privacy issues extremely seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy against this behaviour".
