Now the Congresswoman Is Accusing John Kelly of Racism

  • John Kelly Iraq Islam Muslim US Army Marine Corps general

The Trump White House invented a story for the speech and flat out lied to smear a member of Congress because she had the nerve to let the public know how this president insulted the family of a fallen soldier.

Johnson's mother, who also heard the exchange with Johnson's widow on speakerphone, backed up Wilson's version of events.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly defended President Donald Trump's handling of the deaths of USA service members, and delivered an intense emotional rebuke to those he accused of politicizing the issue.

"I said to him: 'Sir, there is nothing you can do to lighten the burden on these families, '" Kelly says he told Trump.

Pressed on the matter during Friday's press briefing, Sanders said Kelly was "stunned that Rep. Wilson made comments at a building dedication honoring slain Federal Bureau of Investigation agents about her own actions in Congress, including lobbying former President Obama on legislation".

Kelly said the Defense Department is investigating the details of the October 4 ambush that killed four American soldiers, including Johnson, in Niger.

"I think he's addressed that pretty thoroughly yesterday", Sanders said.

Meghan Markle Attended a Private Tea Party With Queen Elizabeth
The 36-year-old actress wore a chic white blouse and long black skirt while shooting in Toronto on Wednesday, October 18. Markle also told Vanity Fair they were a young couple in love recently in her first comments about their relationship.

Wilson responded moments after Kelly's appearance at the press briefing concluded.

"That was just simply to say I don't believe President Obama called".

Wilson also recognized other members of Congress, including then-House Speaker John Boehner, for their key roles in helping to get the legislation quickly through Congress. The president has repeatedly denied he made such a comment.

The friend, he said, would tell loved ones that the deceased "was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was killed".

The deaths of US troops is an emotional issue for Kelly, a retired four-star general, whose son was killed by a roadside bomb while on patrol in Afghanistan in 2010. "He knew what the possibilities were when he went to war". Bryan Black, Dustin Wright, and Jeremiah Johnson were the courageous soldiers who died in the Islamic State ambush in Niger. Johnson's aunt, who raised the soldier from a young age, said the family took that remark to be disrespectful. "Absolutely stuns me. And I thought at least that was sacred".

Sanders added that Kelly's interpretation was developed by "a few comments that day that weren't part of that speech and weren't part of that video". Those calls, he said as he fought back tears, were the most important. He said the respect given to Gold Star families "left in the convention over the summer", an apparent reference to the bitter election exchanges between the Trump campaign and a family whose military son had been killed. "There were other people who heard what I heard".
