  • Ubisoft details Assassin's Creed: Origins free and paid DLC

Lootboxes are something of a contentious issue at the moment - from Overwatch to Call of Duty: WWII, they're pretty much everywhere you could care to look. Apparently new stuff is coming until March next year.

Starting with Assassin's Creed Origins' Season Pass, the two confirmed expansions are titled The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs. This expansion will also extend the level cap, allowing players to keep progressing. First up, in January 2018, will be "The Hidden Ones".

The Curse of the Pharaohs: This story-driven expansion focuses on Egyptian mythology. Scheduled for a March 2018 launch. Available in early 2018. Available in November, 2017. Fortunately, it seems that the game's boxes are only available to buy with in-game currency.

An exclusive rare weapon, the Calamity Blade. According to Ubisoft, the first Trial of the Gods event will be available a few weeks after launch.

The "Season Pass" will include two meatier DLCs, plus some cosmetic type stuff.

Also, it has an estimated price-earnings (P/E) multiple of 12.21 and a trailing 12-month price-earnings (P/E) multiple of 28.17. Lattice Semiconductor had 14 analyst reports since August 4, 2015 according to SRatingsIntel. 8 of them rate its stock a hold.

It seems like Ubisoft is flirting with the idea of having a persistent rotating set of new things to do, and new content added in to keep people playing like what we've seen done in recent games like Destiny.

As you can read below, some of the content will come in the form of launch events, and I don't know for the life of me why the photo mode is listen in there. Fifteen days after launch, you can try your luck in "The Trial of the Gods" event, which introduces timed boss battles against the might Egyptian deities.

The trailer below goes through all the storyline expansions, timed events and additional items Ubisoft will be making available following the launch of the game. At launch you'll get "The Nomad's Bazaar", which will put a wandering merchant in the game who will give you daily quests.

Photo Mode - Capture the beauty of the Egyptian landscape, indulge your inner wildlife photographer, and discover interesting photos taken by other players. In early 2018, you can test your combat skills even further with Horde Mode, which will pit you against waves of enemies in the Gladiator Arena. They will be able to compare their scores with their friends and challenge them asynchronously.
