The incident follows a string of sexual harassment allegations being levelled against Weinstein from women who worked with him.

"Everything I do in my life I do for this girl (and her brother)", the mom captioned the image.

In a statement Thursday, guild President Beau Willimon and Executive Director Lowell Peterson condemned Harvey Weinstein's "deplorable" behavior and said that "sexual harassment and assault have always been hallmarks of the entertainment industry".

"It's not like they're going to talk to everyone Weinstein has ever talked to", one law-enforcement said.

Revelations that the Hollywood mogul sexually harassed women for almost three decades prompted three of the company's nine board members to resign, according to The New York Times which broke the news in a bombshell report earlier this week.

As more celebrities came forward Wednesday to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct, the ousted studio executive said he's "hanging in there" - and would like another chance to prove himself. Boies said there was one settlement to which he "gave advice at or about the time it was being entered into" but declined to say which one.

Writing in The Guardian, she said: "We were talking on the sofa when he suddenly jumped on me and tried to kiss me". "It speaks to the status quo in this business that I was aware that standing up for myself and saying no to things, while it did allow me to feel uncompromised in myself, undoubtedly harmed my career and was never something I felt supported by anyone other than my family", Beckinsale said.

She ended up getting cast in The Weinstein Co.'s 2017 film, "Tulip Fever". The actress said she applauds the women who have come forward with their stories. "I'm not doing OK but I'm trying".

At least three women who spoke to the New Yorker said they had been raped by Weinstein, who has maintained that he believed all the encounters were consensual.

Amid the gravity of the situation, the Academy, which has awarded 81 Oscars to Weinstein films produced by Miramax and then the Weinstein Company, announced it would convene a meeting on Saturday to "discuss the allegations against Weinstein and any actions warranted by the Academy".

"In case you didn't realize, it has been a huge week for women", the "Full Frontal" host said at the top of the show.

Weinstein, through a spokeswoman, has denied any nonconsensual sexual conduct with any women. "Come on. Please", Weinstein responded. "You know what, we all make mistakes", he's seen saying in a TMZ video.

Weinstein attended the world-famous festival many times and several movies he produced have been selected in the competition.

The New York Police Department on Thursday said it was conducting a review to determine if there are any other complaints against Weinstein in the agency's jurisdiction.
