  • iPhone users fume over letter 'i' bug

The i's do not have it.

Apple iPhone users have been hit by a weird bug which turns the letter "I" into a unusual question mark thing in a box - making texting a living hell.

Of course, you can see how frustrating this is for all users of the iPhone since the vowel is used in nearly every sentence. Is this an existential test?

If the users don't take action to remedy it, the incorrect characters will appear within text.

The latest update is a continued attempt to refine iOS 11, where Apple are constantly seeking to improve their operating system to enhance customer satisfaction.

Turkey, US resume limited mutual visa services
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses Mr Gulen of instigating the unrest - a charge the cleric denies. The US worker was held over suspected links to a cleric blamed for last year's failed coup in Turkey.

Maybe even: "I hate this".

User @mcwm tweeted: 'I have a $1,150 [£877] telephone that can't read the letter "i"'. Apple has acknowledged the feature saying that it's affecting anyone with a device that's running iOS 11.1. Some users get an "I" in the frequently used emoji section. The bandaid lets users replace a capital "I" with a lowercase "i" - which will look odd, but not as odd as the freaky exclamation point-question mark combo. This update has resolved some security issues and fixed some bugs too, but has also started draining battery life which is quite frustrating for many users.

Apple's newest update to the software for its iPhones and iPads, iOS 11.1, has only been out for a few days, but users are already reporting a serious problem. For over 50 per cent of people, iOS 11 is causing issues on older phones. Then tap the "+" key and type uppercase "I" for phrase and lowercase "i" for shortcut.

The letter "i" is bringing frustration to some iPhone users.

For now, the simplest solution is to install a third-party keyboard, like Google's Gboard.
