  • Eve Officially Joins 'The Talk' on CBS

ET spoke with Chen about finding a new co-host in August, just several weeks after Tyler left the show, where she compared the casting process to speed dating.

Hopefully, Eve will feel a similar connection to her co-hosts as she takes Tyler's seat on The Talk.

On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host. "The great success of "The Talk' is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts".

This past June, Tyler ended her six-year run on The Talk to pursue other projects, forcing CBS to desperately search for a worthy replacement.

DC Comics editor fired after BuzzFeed report exposes multiple sexual assault complaints
He now oversees editing of the Superman and Green Lantern titles, as well as the current Dark Nights: Metal event. The firing comes after another BuzzFeed News report first detailed the allegations from two former DC employees.

"I'm looking forward to being able to showcase my personality in a way that people have never seen before", she adds. She has guest-starred on the talk show in recent weeks as well. The Grammy victor is best known for her hit "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", a duet with Gwen Stefani, her TV sitcom "Eve" and appearances in the "Barbershop" films.

Since Tyler's exit, "The Talk" has featured many guest co-hosts during its current eighth season.

"I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve told Variety.

No topic is off limits for Eve, and she's both excited and nervous for her new role, though she's received advice from the cast, especially Underwood. I started recording a few months ago. "And to have such a diverse group of women as well - I think that is very important", she said". This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.
