Speaking about terrorism, Haasan said: "The right wing can not challenge talk of Hindu terrorists because terror has spread into their camp as well". "But this is a temporary trend, it won't win", Haasan writes.

The star's Hindutva bashing comes towards the end of his weekly column as an answer to a question posed to him by Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan as to whether the intrusion of Hindutva forces is undermining the social reformist agenda in the state's polity.

"The right wing can not challenge talk of Hindu terrorists because terror has spread into their camp as well.Hindus are losing faith in "satyameva jayate" and instead subscribing to "might is right", he said.

"Earlier such Hindu right-wingers, without indulging in violence against those belonging to other religions, made the latter indulge in violence through their arguments and counter arguments", he said. "But now they resort to violence", Mr. Haasan said.

Kamal pointed out that Tamil Nadu's Dravidian tradition is thousands of years old and said the social revolution brought on by Ramanujam 1,000 years ago is a landmark. "They too started indulging in violence", he wrote. A party leader went on to call him "mentally unstable". MGR (AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran) emerged successful as he appealed to the masses while Haasan is trying to appease Muslim fundamentalists and anti-Hindu zealots to emerge as a fringe group. "If he has such an inclination, he should report it to the authorities". In his leftist view, he says Hindu terrorism exists.

"People of Tamil Nadu will reject this type of cheap politics which Kamal Haasan is also trying to play", the BJP leader maintained. "He doesn't have any proof", India Today quoted him as saying.

Kamal Haasan's article has come days after he tweeted demanding an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for demonetisation.

The column was titled, "Be prepared. will tell all on November 7", which is Haasan's birthday.
