Television streaming service Hulu is the first media streaming app available for download on the Nintendo Switch.

Starting today, Hulu subscribers can use their Nintendo Switch to stream their favorite content from Hulu no matter where they might be. However, that's about to change now that the Switch is getting Hulu, sometime this week. Now Switch owners will be able to watch Hulu exclusives, such as the Emmy-winning The Handmaid's Tale, as well as shows catalogued only on Hulu, like the Emmy-winning This is Us, both at home or on the go.

The service is available now from the Nintendo eShop as a free download.

Hulu is now downloadable from Nintendo's eShop on the Switch, although it is only available for people under specific requirements. The company has projected that it will ship 14 million units by the end of its fiscal year ending March 2018, putting it on pace to sell 16.7 million units in its first year of release.

Pyne refuses to budge on Manus refugees
He warned that "appropriate means" would be used to "apprehend individuals who are causing unnecessary anxiety and violence". Despite the warning, several of the asylum seekers said on social media that they still would not leave the site.

Unfortunately, Hulu never truly made an appearance outside of the States, paving way for other video-streaming applications such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and in the UK, NOW TV to gain a foothold.

Switch users will be able to take advantage of Hulu's standard subscription, which costs $7.99 a month, or its more robust offering with Live TV, priced at $39.99 a month.

Hulu only seems to be going live on the USA eShop for now, but this is definitely a sign of things to come. The new iPhone X for example has a screen that measures 5.8 inches. On that date, you can purchase L.A. Noire, Rime, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, and Rocket League.
