  • Over 40 Years of Fire Extinguishers Recalled

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of about 37.8 million Kidde fire extinguishers.

The US Product Safety Commission is recalling almost 40 million Kidde fire extinguishers sold between January 1, 1973, and August 15, 2017. Also, the nozzle can come off with enough force to pose an injury hazard. The recall applies to 134 models of Kidde fire extinguishers manufactured between January 1, 1973, and August 15, 2017, including models that had been previously recalled in March 2009 and February 2015.

One type features a plastic squeeze handle and the other is a push-button Pindicator.

More than 40 million fire extinguishers in the US and Canada are being recalled because they might not work in an emergency.

The extinguishers were sold in common places, such as Sears, Menards, Home Depot, and even Walmart.

Franken: Sessions 'seems to have problems telling the truth'
The committee has asked Page to produce more documents, according to members, to comply with the subpoena they previously issued. Page interacted with Sessions because the then-Alabama senator was leading the national security team for the Trump campaign.

Participants of the Healthy Neighborhoods Program may have received one of these recalled fire extinguishers.

The model number is printed on the label and models produced after 2007 have a manufacture date printed on the side of the cylinder.

In 2014, extinguishers failed to function as they should for emergency personnel responding to a fiery vehicle wreck. The death, which occurred in 2014, happened when emergency responders tried to put out a auto fire with a Kidde fire extinguisher, but could not get the extinguisher to work, CPSC said.

This recall includes models that were in two previous recalls as well.
