Newsweek has reached out to Moore's campaign for comment on Jones's claims.

A defiant Roy Moore on Saturday insisted the allegations of sexual misconduct decades ago were false and voters in Alabama would "see through this charade".

The Washington Post reported this week that four women said Moore had pursued sexual or romantic relationships with them in the 1970s and '80s - when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s. Moore has vehemently denied the allegations.

Indeed, 29% of survey respondents said they were actually more likely to support Moore following the accusations, while 38% of respondents said they were less likely to support him following the report, and 33% said it made no difference.

DeShone Kizer called the ill-fated QB sneak on his own
The Browns have not won a game all season and if the Lions were to lose, it would be devastating to their playoff chances. Kizer passed for 178 yards and a touchdown and carried seven times for 57 rushing yards and a score prior to the injury.

Moore went on to accuse the paper, whose editorial board endorsed his Democratic opponent Doug Jones, of 'yet another attack on my character and reputation in a desperate attempt to stop my political campaign for United States Senate'.

Speaking on NBC, Toomey says because the "accusations have more credibility than the denial, I think it would be best if Roy would just step aside".

Moore is running to become Alabama's next US Senator, a seat left open by Jeff Sessions who took a job with the Trump Administration to head the Justice Department in January.

A former prosecutor who worked alongside GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore in the 1980s said it was "common knowledge" at the time that he dated high school girls. Sessions then throws Moore out, saying, "I'm Alabama, but you, sir, are too Alabama!"
