Taylor Swift Performs Emotional 'New Year's Day' in Surprise 'Fallon' Appearance

After her performance, the singer wrapped Fallon in an emotional hug and waved to the audience.

Jimmy Fallon has returned to "The Tonight Show" after taking a week off to grieve the death of his mother, former Upstate New York resident Gloria Fallon.

Gloria Fallon died "peacefully" on 4 November in hospital in NY.

After a slight pause to pull himself together he continued, "Last week I was in the hospital, at her side, and I grabbed her hand and I squeezed 'I love you, ' and I just knew we were in trouble".

". and I would squeeze I love you too", he adds.

Taylor Swift made a special appearance on Monday night to perform in Gloria's honor. "She said yes with zero hesitation", he wrote.

Taylor Swift appeared on Jimmy Fallon's show with a new song from "Reputation". "I wanted to send deepest wishes to Jimmy and your family from mine and also all of us at the Today show".
