According to rumours, the Cupertino company will launch the iPhone SE 2 early next year. They are still clinging to the iPhone SE but that will soon turn 2-years old right on time for an upgrade? Though it looks like a relic next to the X, it might not be the last LCD iPhone that Apple ever releases. If this is true, the rollout would be a departure from the original SE which first released on March 31, 2016 in more developed markets like China, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Many Apple fans still believe that the iPhone SE - with its 4-inch screen - is the flawless size for a smartphone. So, it won't be surprising if the new iPhone SE 2 does well.
We heard rumors about a new iPhone SE earlier this year and now it looks like Apple could be planning to launch the handset next year.
The iPhone X was a huge gamble from Apple, but one that really paid off. Beyond this, there is not much information available at the time of writing.
To recall, the iPhone SE is powered by a 64-bit A9 chipset, faster GPU, and M9 motion coprocessor for Always-On 'Hey Siri.' The iPhone SE has received massive improvements in comparison to the 2013 "5S model". It lets fans of the smaller 4-inch screen retain the pocket-friendly size, but benefit from near-flagship specs. The SE successor is expected to be priced at $450.
If a second-generation model were to be launched in 2018, we'd expect it to take the best of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, meaning at least an A10 processor.
