  • Green Cuisine recalled chicken products in salads sold at Trader Joe's

Green Cuisine is recalling over 36,000 pounds of chicken and turkey salad products that may have hard silica and glass fragments in it, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The grocery store issued the recall on Saturday, saying their White Meat Chicken Salad, Curried White Chicken Deli Salad and Turkey Cranberry Apple Salad may have "foreign matter" in them. The chicken and turkey salad was sold by Trader Joe's in 12 different states. The recalled salads all have a USDA inspected code of P-40299. Three types of packaged salads with "USE BY" stickers dated between November 10-21 could be contaminated. They were sold in stores in California, Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

If you purchased one of those salads with that inspection code in one of those states, Trader Joe's is telling customers to throw them away or return them to a retail location for a full refund.
