The woman accusing Ford was "not a Morgan Stanley employee but interacted with Ford in a professional capacity", according to the report.

HuffPost's Yaher Ali reports that former Democratic Congressman Harold Ford Jr. has been fired by Morgan Stanley after allegations of sexual misconduct.

"He has been terminated for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies", Morgan Stanley said in a statement.

Things are much different now after Morgan Stanley fired Ford, Jr.as managing director.

HuffPost on Thursday reported that a woman interviewed by human resources as part of the investigation alleged that Ford forcibly grabbed her during a professional meeting in Manhattan several years ago.

HuffPost did not identify the woman, but it reviewed emails allegedly confirming her conversations with Ford and spoke with people the woman had confided in about the exchange.

She says he continued to ask her out for drinks and only stopped when she asked him to.

The woman, whose identity the web publication is keeping private, tells Huffington Post that the incident with Ford led her to ask for help from a building security guard. I have never forcibly grabbed any woman or man in my life.

As the crowd chanted "Modi, Modi", he said: "They can keep their language and we will do our work". Modi recalled what Aiyar had said during his visit to Pakistan a year ago and fired a fresh salvo.

In a string of tweets Thursday afternoon, Ford, Jr. denied the allegations and said he'll bring legal action against the reporter who made the allegations, and Morgan Stanley for improper termination.

This simply did not happen. Ford's employment lawyer John Singer of Singer Deutsch LLP tells the web publication that the wirehouse has yet to tell his client directly of his termination and refused to provide reasons for it.

At the time Morgan Stanley announced the hire, The New York Times described Ford's role as a rainmaker of sorts: "Mr. Ford will be responsible for "building business opportunities" for clients, Morgan Stanley said".

Ford was first elected to congress at 26 years old, where he represented Tennessee's 9th district from 1996 to 2007. Bob Corker by fewer than three points in a failed bid for a Senate seat in 2006.

'I support and have tremendous respect for the fearless women now speaking out in this important national dialogue.

Ford told The Huffington Post that, "False claims like this undermine the real silence breakers". (D-TN) is a fixture on MSNBC's Morning Joe, appearing many times as a panelist and guest host.

Ford has also been a political analyst on NBC/MSNBC.
