"Photo Editor - Beauty Camera & Photo Filters" topped Google's list of the top five most popular new apps this year, followed by "What the Forecast?!" and "Boomerang".

Android: Whether they're front and centre or lurking behind the scenes, almost every app is taking a nibble (or a huge bite) out of your mobile data.

The first application launched by Google for its next billion users is called Datally, and it is available today in Spanish for Android devices.

"Those living on Wi-Fi or with large data plans may not notice, but for many users around the world data is like money to them so they budget it". Do a search and you'll find tons of help threads of users asking why their lock screen is suddenly different, and others guessing at which app could be the culprit.

Wisconsin finishes sixth in final College Football Playoff rankings
Ten of Wisconsin's wins this season have come by 14 or more points and it has not trailed in the fourth quarter all season. Ohio State had little trouble busting through on its way to building a big enough lead to survive Saturday night.

Datally has views showing mobile data use broken down on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis so that users can see peak times and how app downloads and updates affect their usage. Google designed Datally to help users see their mobile data usage patterns via graphs and usage highlights so they are better informed on how to save on their data bills. The app also offers personalized recommendations and tips on how to trim down data consumption.

Control your data. Turn on the Data Saver bubble to block background data usage and track real-time data usage while using each of your apps-it's like a speedometer for your data. Apps that save and disseminate such personal data that doesn't need to be collected must explain to the user how the data is going to be used. Developers can also request an app review using this article on App verification and appeals, which contains guidance applicable to apps in both Google Play and non-Play app stores.

Shah said that storage in smartphones is another problem in the target countries of Google.
