Prepare to Have Very Mixed Feelings About Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone Reboot

The Twilight Zone reboot will be the latest show to join CBS' slate of streaming-only programming that also includes Star Trek: Discovery, which was recently renewed for a second season. Now, CBS is ready to reboot it once again on their All Access streaming service with Get Out director Jordan Peele producing the series with Simon Kinberg through their respective companies, Monkeypaw Productions and Genre Films.

His directorial debut "Get Out" has been touted for award season and is among one of the most in-demand creators of the moment.

Created by Rod Sterling, the original show premiered on CBS in 1959, telling a series of moralistic, self-contained science fiction, fantasy, and horror stories each week. No release date has been set and it's unclear if the reboot is going straight to series or is just in development.

"The Twilight Zone was a touchstone in my life", Kinberg said via Variety. "The opportunity to continue its lineage is a dream come true, and I'm so thrilled to be doing it with Jordan, Marco and the team at CBS All Access", said Kinberg.

Tennessee To Hire Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt As Head Coach
Being the "main man" on campus and steering the ship can turn even the best of coaches into a shell of their former self. Pruitt accepted, but still is expected to stay on with Alabama while the team prepares for the College Football Playoff.

The Twilight Zone reboot has been shopped around Hollywood for some time now.

A 1985 version of the series ran on CBS for three seasons, and UPN tried to bring it back in 2002.

The Twilight Zone revival arrives as individual episodic anthologies have become increasingly popular following shows like Netflix's Black Mirror, HBO's Room 104 and TBS' The Guest Book. Serling wrote nearly two-thirds of the scripts himself.

The Twilight Zone also featured performances from several film stars - from Buster Keaton to Robert Redford, Mickey Rooney, Lee Van Cleef and William Shatner.
