Before heading out for yet another extended road trip, the Portland Trail Blazers will host the San Antonio Spurs for the second and final time this season Sunday night at the Moda Center.

Kawhi Leonard had barely started to play significant minutes again before being struck with another injury.

Leonard had his best all-around performance in the Spurs' 103-89 win over the Phoenix Suns with 21 points, four steals, and three blocks. Ginobili provided the spark off the bench once again and David Bertans put the polish on the win with a couple of late threes as the Spurs blew out the Suns late in the fourth quarter to improve to 27-13 overall and 18-2 at home.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday that Leonard suffered a partial tear in his left shoulder during Friday's game. CJ McCollum led the team with 20 points and six assists, Damian Lillard and Al-Farouq Aminu each scored 14 points while Ed Davis chipped in with 12 points off the bench.

Leonard sat out most of the first two months of the season as he worked his way back from a hip injury, and when he made his return the Spurs were quick to keep his workload down.

Leonard has only played in eight games this season, having returned on December 12 but having been held out of four of the Spurs' past 10 games, as the team has tried to manage his recovery.
