  • Devastating A bedside vigil had been made for Jessica in the Intensive Care Unit at St George Hospital where she was in a medically induced coma before her life support was switched off

"Home and Away" star Jessica Falkholt has been removed from life support two weeks after a fiery crash that claimed the lives of her parents and younger sister.

Her sister Annabelle, 21, was also injured and died in hospital on December 29.

Mr Whitall, who according to Newscorp had been previously jailed four times for risky driving prior to the crash, also died at the scene.

Whitall reportedly had an extensive history of driving convictions, had lost his license for extended periods of time on numerous occasions, and had been heading home from a methadone clinic at the time of the crash.

It was revealed overnight that the man at the centre of the Boxing Day horror crash which killed four people, including himself, was allowed back behind a wheel.

Vivian and Lars were instantly killed in the crash, while the sisters' bodies were pulled from the flaming wreckage of the auto by bystanders. Annabelle died in hospital three days later.

According to the Daily Mail, Jessica's heartbroken family had kept a bedside vigil in the Intensive Care Unit at St George Hospital where Jessica had been in a medically induced coma.

Following reports her life support had been turned off, Home and Away tweeted: "Rest in peace, lovely Jessica Falkholt".

The actress, 29, who played Hope Morrison in the soap, remained in a critical condition on Friday.

Lars Falkholt was such a cautious driver extra time was always factored in for vehicle trips, mourners have been told at the Sydney funeral for him, his wife and their youngest daughter.

He also thanked the "saviours" who risked their lives to pull Annabelle and Jessica from the inferno. She passed away surrounded by loved ones who have refused to leave her side since the devastating incident.

Flowers were sent from Sweden, where Lars was born, and from Italy, where Vivian was born.

"We take a little comfort in knowing they will be together". The Daily Telegraph reports that Whitall had many previous driving infractions, including a nine-year ban and had at least 10 convictions for driving without a licence.

"Lars, Vivian and Annabelle will be deeply missed by Vivian's brother Paul Ponticello, his children Paul and Natalie, along with many relatives and friends both near and far", the notice read.

Craig Anthony Whitall, 50, has been remembered as an "awesome father".

The fatal crash took place on the Princes Highway on Boxing Day when the Falkholts were travelling home to the suburb of Ryde after attending Christmas celebrations.
