North Korea recently sat down with South Korea for their first diplomatic talks since 2015.

"We have to be ready - as a military man of 39 years, I know that if you want peace, you must prepare for war".

North Korea has offered talks to South Korea on sending its art troupe to the 2018 Winter Olympics, Seoul's Unification Ministry said on Saturday.

It comes a day after South Korea's Vice-Sports Minister Roh Tae Kang said the South had proposed marching with North Korea at the Olympics' opening ceremony and also forming a joint women's ice hockey team. "North Korea should not be an exception".

In talks Tuesday, the North agreed to send a delegation to next month's Winter Olympics in South Korea and to hold talks with Seoul to ease military tensions.

Speaking in London at an event hosted by British think tank Policy Exchange, Lieutenant General In-Bum Chun explained that Trump's volatile nature has North Koreans fearing he could, at any point, reach for his nuclear button - which the President has already claimed is "much bigger and more powerful" than North Korea's. "I have relationships with people".

During the Universiade Games in Daegu in 2003, a bus carrying North Korean cheerleaders suddenly stopped on a high way.

The Moranbong band is an all-female music group performing pop, rock and fusion styles, whose members are reportedly selected by the North's leader Kim Jong Un himself.

The cheerleaders screamed, asking how a dear leader's picture could be left alone on in the middle of streets without due respects, and took the placard down.

The White House and Wall Street Journal issued contradicting statements on whether or not President Trump was misquoted in a recent interview about his relationship with North Korea.

Past year they performed a show celebrating North Korea's nuclear programme and footage from the concert, which was attended by Kim Jong-un and aired on state television, showed the band dressed as sailors.
