  • Samsung Exynos 9810 Chipsets Officially Announced: Better AI, Richer Multimedia Support Offered

Ahead of CES in Las Vegas, Samsung has launched its latest blitz on the AI processor market, unveiling the Exynos 9 Series 9810. Samsung claims that the Exynos 9 Series 9810 is its most innovative mobile processor yet. It features third generation custom CPU quad-core cluster, known as the Exynos M3, clocked at 2.9GHz, which is paired with a quad-core Cortex-A55 cluster clocked at 1.9GHz. In comparison with its predecessor, the Exynos 9810 is capable of delivering twofold single-core performance as well as offering 40 percent better multi-core performance. On Thursday, the Korean company announced the Exynos 9810 chipset that would bring advanced AI capabilities to smartphones. The processor also retains the biometric signatures from the user's face, iris, and fingerprint in a separate processing unit within the processor.

The chip is said to be coming with the features that are set to enhance the user experience, with inclusions like neural network-based deep learning and stronger security. It will result in seamless multi-tasking and faster load and transactions time. But given the company's past strategy, some models of the Galaxy S9 will feature the Exynos 9810, with users in the U.S. and China will get the device with a Snapdragon 845 chipset. It can do this "by utilizing both hardware and software", thus enabling "hybrid face detection for realistic face-tracking filters as well as stronger security when unlocking a device with one's face". The Exynos 9810 has a new LTE modem with 1.2 Gbps Cat.18 support, 6x carrier aggregation versus the 5x on the Exynos 8895, and 4×4 MIMO / 256-QAM. But the Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845 are tailored to specific applications, which could lead to a fragmentation of features in Samsung's upcoming flagship, points out The Verge. The new MFC supports recording and playback of UHD video up to 120 fps and also comes with 10-bit HEVC decoding for enhanced color reproduction. Notably, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are also expected to be powered by the recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in some regions.

Serena Williams Drops out of Australian Open
The 36-year-old explained: "My coach and team always said "only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way". But the short turnaround after giving birth has proven too much for even the greatest player of her generation.

Greengart agreed that by offering different chips in different devices around the world, Samsung could begin to cause more testy marketing issues for the company in the future.

With the new Exynos chip, users can expect advanced image and video stabilisation in UHD as well as real-time "out-of-focus photography" in high resolution. That's not too surprising, because Samsung is reportedly also building the Qualcomm chip using exactly the same second-generation 10-nanometer fab process.
