Giorgio Chiellini reveals Juventus plan for stopping Tottenham star Harry Kane

14 February, 2018, 19:27 | Author: Joan Malone
  • The striker has struggled to make his mark for Spurs largely due to Harry Kane's excellence

Harry Kane continued his single-handed assault on the record books when he scored Tottenham Hotspur's opening goal in their comeback 2-2 draw at Juventus in the Champions League last 16, first leg on Tuesday.

However, Spurs reacted well despite their early set-backs and pulled one back when Harry Kane rounded Buffon to slot home a priceless away goal in the 35th minute.

"They've gone away already this year to Dortmund, to Real Madrid so they have nothing to fear from anybody", Redknapp said on TV3's post-game show. "The first minutes were hard but it was incredible how we reacted".

"Juve are a fantastic team but I'm looking forward to the challenge".

Tottenham now sit in fourth spot in the Premier League table, although they could be leapfrogged by Chelsea tonight, should Antonio Conte's side beat West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge.

"Juventus is a massive club, its history, they've won everything, we can't compare", said Pochettino of a side that has been finalists twice in the past three seasons. The same goes for Juve: "if they get past us, they can triumph in this tournament", Llorente who made 66 appearances for Juventus from 2013 to 2015 added.

India wicketkeeper MS Dhoni 46 runs away from ODI history
At the other end, South Africa's stand-in skipper Aiden Markram conceded India were superior than the hosts and deserved the win. One can't ignore Hardik Pandya's contribution as his all-round skill sets came into good effect.

Danish playmaker Eriksen's influence on the result stretched further than simply his goal, and Pochettino says he is the embodiment of the constant desire to improve at Tottenham. The Belgian injured his hamstring in the home game and missed over three months before returning to action with 90 minutes against Newport County in the FA Cup last week. When I arrived here, the games against the top teams when you are 2-0 down after nine minutes you lose 6-0.

Massimiliano Allegri's side have conceded only one goal during their previous 16 matches in all competitions and last tasted defeat on November 19.

"I feel so proud".

"Of course we watched many games both with and without Dybala but it's about the quality of the players on the pitch". For me, Ryan is a player who will always be special.

"Tomorrow we'll have to play an excellent match for a tactical point of view, because otherwise if we just focus on the physical aspect we could suffer a lot".

"I think the problem is about his fitness, no?"
