This weekend the big game is on, the one millions of people tune in to watch every single year: Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl. A sloth named Shirley will assist seven-time human rufferee Dan Schachner, and Meep, an African Gray Parrot, will live tweet the game.

The 14th edition of the Puppy Bowl will take place on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 4) as once again Team Ruff will take on Team Ruff, or in honor of the New England Patriots [VIDEO] taking on the Philadelphia Eagles this game is also being dubbed the Pup-triots vs. the B-eagles.

The Hallmark Channel is partnering with North Shore Animal League America and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation for Kitten Bowl V, which will feature another batch of fluffy "cat-letes" cavorting around.

Animal Planet works with 48 different shelters and rescue organizations across 25 states and territories to find rescue puppies in need.

This is the first year Animal Planet is also hosting a "Dog Bowl" to advocate for the adoption of older dogs that may be a better fit for some households. Don't overlook the older dogs that are languishing often in shelters.

Hazen says they want to put them up around the time of the Super Bowl on Sunday, and are just waiting on a veterinarian to OK them for adoption.

Then, at 3 p.m., attendees can head to our main lobby for a Puppy Bowl XIV watch party to see the cutest event in sports history featuring three hours of cuteness overload with furry faces and sloppy kisses.
