On Thursday, the Elections and Ethics committee in the Michigan House of Representatives will hear a bill that would allow the Governor to appoint the Boards of Trustees for Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University instead of being elected by the voters.

MSU Interim President John Engler held a press conference on Wednesday to announce changes to the university's health colleges, clinical practice and student wellness programs, as well as the appointment of two new people into leadership positions.

Late Tuesday afternoon, 61 out of 65 faculty members voted having no confidence in the board of trustees in the wake of the Larry Nassar scandal.

"I was puzzled when they told me they had never met alone without (former President Lou Anna) Simon in the room until after she resigned", he told David Jesse of the Free Press.

Engler's letter also called a recent investigative report from ESPN's Outside the Lines regarding Michigan State's response to sexual assault "a sensationalized package of reporting". The coaches were asked to refrain from comment while the reports were examined. That has been a burden that must be lifted. That's about all I'm going to say on it.

Slow Eating Promotes Weight Loss, Reports New Study
The slow eaters tended to be healthier and to have a healthier lifestyle than either the fast or normal speed eaters. Their weight was also assessed using their body mass index (BMI) score and their waist circumference was measured.

"We stand by our reporting", ESPN said in a statement Tuesday.

Michigan State spokesman Kent Cassella said last week that MSU police have received more than 60 criminal reports against Nassar since January 16, 2018.

According to MLive, Tom Izzo agreed with Engler, saying, "I only saw a little bit of it, but the part I saw, I agreed with what he said".

"I've said it before, there will be a time I will talk".

Dantonio, for his part, has denied that the ESPN report contained any new information, stating that he has always worked with the proper authorities when dealing with cases of sexual assault.
