  • Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump

Trump has repeatedly complained that Russian Federation is not doing all he says it should to pressure North Korea to lay down its nuclear arms through stringent economic sanctions.

"Russia and Putin will have an important role in this matter, including launching an global peace conference and several important issues that require consultation with all relevant parties until we achieve the interest of the Palestinian people", he explained.

The Palestinian envoy to the United Nations on February 8 suggested that China and Arab League could also be part of any future 'peace processes on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In response to the USA decision on Jerusalem, the Palestinians declared that Washington is no longer an acceptable mediator for the peace process as well as between them and Israel.

Palestinian leadership sees India's friendly ties with the U.S. an added advantage since Washington, too, would welcome India playing a greater role in the region.

"It is very important for us to know your personal opinion in order to set the record straight and put in place a common approach to solve this problem", Putin told his guest.

"Russia is not helping us at all with North Korea", Trump told Reuters.

'Given the atmosphere created by the United State's actions, we. refuse any cooperation with the United States as a mediator, ' said Abbas. "So we are just going to have to see what happens".

He has since continued to build himself a large social media following with this witty postings and LGBTI advocacy. Others have congratulated the duo, describing their success as 'absolutely incredible'.

"Israel has to be careful with settlements", Trump warned. The American president angered Palestinians in December when he recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and then threatened to withhold aid unless their leaders entered talks.

Prior to Abbas' visit, Palestinian ambassador to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal, said on Sunday that Abbas' visit to Russia "aims to find an impartial broker to lead negotiations with Israel".

Trump last spoke to Putin in December, when the Russian leader called to thank him for a Central Intelligence Agency tip that helped thwart a terror plot in St. Petersburg.

Putin said during the meeting with the Palestinian leader that he had just spoken by telephone with U.S. President Donald Trump.

"President Trump said that the United States was standing by to assist Russian authorities in their investigation".

The president has denied his team colluded with Russian Federation, but he has repeatedly praised Putin and expressed hope they could improve relations between their two nations.

Putin mentioned the call with Trump at the start of his meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on Monday. And we are planning to move toward national elections in which all Palestinians, including our diaspora, can take part, with the goals of better representation, more support for our refugees and strengthening our people's steadfastness under occupation.

The White House denied Netanyahu's claims, in a rare public show of disunity. Russian Federation recognizes Palestine as a state with East Jerusalem as its capital. In the interview, Trump criticized Israel's West Bank settlements, which the Palestinians and most of the global community view as illegal obstacles to peace.
