Bachelor 'Robert Mueller' Can't Commit To Trump Collusion In Heartbreaking 'SNL'

  • Kate McKinnon as special counsel Robert Mueller tells a voter he has a better case against President Trump for obstruction rather than collusion

Kate McKinnon did double duty in Saturday Night Live's cold open this week reprising her portrayal of White House Special Council Robert Mueller while also playing him as "The Bachelor" in what might be the most hard breakup ever.

Of course, this week also saw a cringeworthy Bachelor finale that raised questions of whether the show should be watched anymore after new Bachelorette Becca was emotionally strung out over the course of an hour via a split-screen breakup.

Mueller broke the news that he was "only half in with collusion" and that he had his mind on prosecuting the President for obstruction of justice instead.

"How do I start this conversation?"

"The reality is that I don't think I can give you everything that you want right now, and I think you sense that", SNL's Mueller said. The "Seychelles were incredible ... but I keep thinking about obstruction".

"So what, you don't have Trump on collusion?" She was under the impression the indictment of 13 Russians and revelations that a secret meeting between a Trump supporter and Russian businessman in Seychelles meant something to their budding relationship. "I'm just trying to be honest with you and tell you that I can't commit to collusion right now". "I was ready, Bob".

"This is so fucking embarrassing", Strong says.

Canada: Doug Ford elected new Ontario PC leader, sources say
It noted that there had been an issue with the allocation of certain electoral votes but the matter was reviewed and resolved. But he urged each camp to get behind the leader once the result is announced later on Saturday afternoon.

The show took the most ridiculous parts of last week's finale of The Bachelor and spoofed it with a Trump/Robert Mueller overlay centered on the investigation into our President's ties to Russian Federation... and the result was HIGHlarious! Luyendyk awkwardly hovered, even as Kufrin repeatedly asked him to leave and walked to the bathroom to cry. "He's just going to be president?" Strong as Kurin asks, clearly distraught.

"I don't know how to answer that", McKinnon says.

Nothing sets the world on fire like a possible presidential scandal. "That's definitely fun, that's just, like, not what I'm doing", McKinnon says.

Becca asked a disappointed Mueller.

Brown used his This Is Us - "the saddest thing you can watch on TV other than the news" - roots during his monologue as he tried to keep his emotions in check.

With Sterling K. Brown hosting, and James Bay doing his thing musically all night, it was a solid show all around! The show aired a parody commercial, This is United States, featuring the "real-life drama happening in our government every day".

Anyway, Brown played Ben Carson, McKinnon reprised her Kellyanne Conway, Pete Davison came on as Jared Kushner, and Aidy Bryant brought back her fantastic Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
