In a series of communications seen by TUKO.co.ke on their respective Twitter pages, the ODM and Jubilee Party said they will be engaging each other on the basis of mutual and national respect.

The leaders, led by immediate former Kitui Senator David Musila, described the agreement reached by Kenyatta and Odinga on Friday last week as a move in the right direction.

A constituent of Kamba leaders have welcomed last week's commitment by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chieftain Raila Odinga to forge for national unity and cohesion. "We shall be retreating to ensure our individual parties, political organs are brought up to speed so that these issues are discussed and at the subsequent Summit meeting we shall break it down on the issues we have talked about today", the ANC leader said.

However, nothing much was achieved and this led to NASA's boycott of the election that saw Uhuru emerge victorious and his win upheld by the Supreme Court.

Mr Odinga assured his co-principals that President Kenyatta has demonstrated willingness to work with the Opposition and will not renege on his promise.
