PITTSBURG, Kan. (March 9, 2018) - Stonehill College's men's 4000-meter distance medley relay team posted a fifth-place finish and broke the school record to highlight day one of the 2018 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Robert E. Plaster Center, hosted by Pittsburg State University.

Brenton Foster likewise has broken a record this season, and similarly to Fajardo, while he did not do so this time, he took home gold in the high jump.

Knight is the top seed in the race but the field will include Andy Trouard, a runner for cross-country national champion Northern Arizona and Stanford's Grant Fisher, another of Knight's distance rivals.

"Collin put together the flawless (indoor) season".

The Iowa track and field team is in the midst of a transition between the indoor and outdoor seasons.

"I feel like I had something to prove to myself", Jones said, adding that she was surprisingly calm before the race. "His first time there, you never really know how a kid's going to react, but I thought he did the best he could. For best field performer it means I've scored the most points or done something outstanding which is great for the team".

"It's the second-best competition I've had this year", said Foster.

The top-three teams were all in the final heat of the championship, and Texas A&M trailed in third place when the anchor, Kerley, was handed the baton. In winning six of his seven competitions this indoor season, which includes a SEC title, Wooten has vaulted 18-3 and 18-4 ½ to improve upon the 18-2 ½ standard established by Wyatt at last year's NCAA meet.
