Hollywood has just honored Mark Hamill with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, with Harrison Ford and George Lucas there to support him. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the First Order.

Since filming STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS in County Kerry, Mark has been a great ambassador for Ireland and it is wonderful to have someone of such universal - even galactic - acclaim in this new honorary role.

Lucasfilm has just released the official trailer for a documentary taking us behind-the-scenes on the creation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Depending on what end of the spectrum you fall on for the movie, you will be delighted to know that the digital copy contains so much bonus content.

This gallery of concept images reveals a strikingly different approach - a 'what if?' scenario where the events of the Star Wars prequels would play out differently.

On the alleged controversy regarding his and Johnson's visions of Luke: Hamill says he regrets saying anything at all, but that with Luke, "you can go home again, but it was a house I didn't recognize at all".

2nd lawsuit filed over lost embryos at hospital
The Ash family said they still have many unanswered questions regarding the failure, even after speaking with two physicians. But there's no way to know until the eggs and embryos are thawed - and they can't be safely re-frozen.

Mark Hamill was yet another surprise guest at SXSW.

Hamill, famous for playing Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, will be the festival's first worldwide guest of honour and will watch the parade from the Presidential stand.

Moderated by Vanity Fair's Joanna Robinson, Johnson came out on stage - with trusty camera in hand - to a roar of applause as they talked about his work from Brick to Breaking Bad. We've already got Solo: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters soon so it seems like only a matter of time before Luke Skywalker finds his way back on the big screen.

It will be like watching a silent movie, according to Johnson, who announced the release of the music-only version on his Twitter. "I wish I hadn't expressed my insecurities publicly", he acknowledged.

Here are some of the things that could happen in Star Wars: Episode IX! We also get to see Rose attack Hux with her teeth, and Chewbacca partying it up with the Ahch-To Caretakers in a scene that is very reminiscent of the Ewok celebration in Jedi.
