  • Police officers March 6 outside the house of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury England. British police say they believe a Russian ex-spy and his daughter first came into contact with a military-grade nerve agent at their front door

The OPCW report states that the chemical the toxic substance was of high purity and contained nearly no impurities. "The latter is concluded from the nearly complete absence of impurities". The head of the organization noted that the investigation of the OPCW specialists is carried out regardless of the position of any country.

She also distanced herself from her cousin Viktoria Skripal, who has spoken to Russian media about the poisoning and has sought to visit Britain, although her visa was rejected. British foreign manager Boris Johnson even pointed directly to newly re-elected Russian president, Vladimir Putin, as person who gave order of poisoning.

"Only Russia has the means, motive and record".

"The results of analysis by OPCW-designated laboratories of environmental and biomedical samples confirm the findings of the United Kingdom relating to the identity of the toxic chemical that was used in Salisbury and severely injured three people", the summary said.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson described the OPCW report as "conclusive", arguing, "There can be no doubt what was used and there remains no alternative explanation about who was responsible - only Russian Federation has the means, motive and record".

"We will now work closely with our partners to clarify grotesque use of this weapon and convene OPCW council to discuss next steps", Johnson said Thursday through a statement collected by Reuters.

Britain blamed Russian Federation for the poisoning and Prime Minister Theresa May said the Skripals had been attacked with a military-grade nerve agent from the Novichok group of poisons, developed by the Soviet Union.

The comment came after Yulia's cousin Viktoria gave a series of interviews about a telephone conversation between the two, leading the British government to claim that Russian Federation was using Viktoria Skripal as a "pawn" in the poisoning dispute.

Russian Federation denies involvement, and says Britain hasn't shared any evidence for its assertion. The Kremlin responded expelling Western diplomats.

"I find myself in a totally different life than the ordinary one I left just over a month ago, and I am seeking to come to terms with my prospects, whilst also recovering from this attack on me", she said.

"Furthermore, it remains unclear if either Sergei or Yulia Skripal agreed on a particular treatment or not".

It did not however provide any evidence on where the nerve agent may have originated from or back up Britain's claims that Russian Federation was to blame.

"The world, while having no opportunity to interact with them, will have every reason to see this as an abduction of the two Russian nationals or at least as their isolation", a spokesman for the Russian embassy in London said.

"With no possibility to verify it, the publication by the Metropolitan Police raises new questions rather than gives answers".

The purity of the nerve agent makes it hard to tell when the agent was manufactured, since without impurities it does not degrade over time. " "Although he is recovering more slowly than Yulia, we hope that he too will be able to leave hospital in due course".

The UK's intelligence officials are believed to be in talks with the CIA over the possible repatriation of the Skripals to the USA or another friendly country for their safety.
