  • Madonna loses bid to keep Tupac's break-up letter from being auctioned off

Auction house Gotta Have Rock and Roll has said it would continue with the sale of the items in July.

In a decision made public yesterday, judge Gerald Lebovits ruled that she had misdirected her legal action by targeting Darlene Lutz, the NY art collector who helped Madonna build a collection before the pair fell out.

The famed jailhouse letter that 2Pac wrote to Madonna giving a post-mortem of their breakup had previously been put up for auction back in July of a year ago.

A letter from Tupac to Madonna, along with several other of the Material Girl's personal items, can be sold at auction.

The singer and Ms Lutz had already settled down a legal dispute over artwork auction back in 2003 and she had signed a release from "any and all" future claims against Tupac.

Kidnapped Mexico students dissolved in acid
Criminals had confused the students with members of a rival gang, authorities said, according to the Reuters news agency. The students were taken to another location where one was beaten to death, authorities said at a news conference Monday.

"But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my "image" that I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was". Tupac's personal belongings also included a break-up letter that Tupac Shakur had written for Madonna and a hairbrush with strands of her hair. Lutz came into possession of some of Madonna's items over the course of their two-decade long relationship, but because of the release, it looks like Madonna is out of luck for getting back this personal pop culture artifact. "Yet before this auction began, the plaintiff did not make any demand to return her possessions". "I never meant to hurt you".

Madonna failed to stop her longtime friend and auctioneer Darlene Lutz to stop the sale, which was stopped temporarily pending the outcome of the matter.

Gotta Have It! co-owner Ed Kosinski celebrated the decision.

As a result the latter's auction house has announced that the remaining items will now be auctioned off in July.

Madonna is yet to comment on the ruling. "And all the high-priced attorneys she hired couldn't change that fact", Jeffrey Haas, an attorney for the auction house added.
