French Defense Minister Florence Parly said the Russians were warned "ahead of time" - despite claims from the Pentagon that Moscow was not notified.

Much like USA statements, Britain's foreign secretary Boris Johnson said there are no plans to launch additional military strikes against Syria, but that his country and its allies will consider further action if Assad uses chemical weapons against his people in the future. "I'm not going to say they'll be unable to conduct a chemical attack in the future. We're going to continue building on that".

The United States, France and Britain launched military strikes in Syria to punish President Bashar Assad for an apparent chemical attack against civilians and to deter him from doing it again, U.S. officials said.

The U.S. has vowed to also squeeze Syria's allies Russian Federation and Iran.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said in an interview published Sunday in the Journal du Dimanche newspaper that "we should join our efforts to promote a political process in Syria that would allow a way out of the crisis".

The statement comes as on Friday night, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom launched airstrikes on a number of targets in Syria in response to the alleged chemical incident in the Damascus' suburb of Douma.

The ambassador dismissed the possibility that there might be an escalation of the conflict between Russian Federation and the United States which would justify fears of a Third World War.

Later, President Bush admitted that the banner was a mistake.

Three sites. Firstly, the Barzeh complex, which the USA says is a centre for development, production and testing of chemical and biological weapons, although Syria denies this. "This was not muscle flexing". It said Syria's chemical weapons programme had been set back years.

Freeland, who spoke before the strikes were announced, said Canada is working with non-governmental organizations and others to collect evidence of war crimes and other atrocities in Syria.

Haley said Trump has a realistic view of USA troop involvement in Syria.

The OPCW's fact-finding mission "will continue its deployment to the Syrian Arab Republic to establish facts around the allegations of chemical weapons use in Douma", the agency said in a statement.

Trump has told military commanders to quickly wrap up operations so he can bring the about 2,000 troops on the ground home within a few months, but Haley insisted there was no deadline.

"We will ensure they can work professionally, objectively, impartially and free of any pressure", he said. The United States and its satellites are trying to undermine worldwide law. The Americans, Russians, Iranians, Turks, Israelis and more have all been involved in Syria's bloodshed to varying degrees, turning it into a proxy battleground for various global interests.

"I would say there's still a residual element", he said.

Sen. Tim Kaine, also appearing on "Face the Nation", slammed the air strikes as illegal and reckless without approval from Congress.

"It is very scary", said Mercho.

President Trump has not yet responded to Eid's "beer summit" invitation.
