  • The shooting at Sam's Club in California

Authorities in California said Friday that they have arrested and charged a man suspected of setting off two explosives at a Sam's Club store on Thursday afternoon.

Agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded to assist police with the investigation.

Ontario Bomb Squad personnel have determined that the suspect had detonated two similar devices in the store.

A police spokesperson said the incident was initially reported as a structure fire after the caller heard a "sound".

She tweeted: "Police have Sam's Club in Ontario shut down because of possible threat".

The Sixers haven't exactly dominated against either one of those teams. "You don't get to see players like him often". But he had a costly turnover in the closing seconds and the Wizards couldn't put away the Cavs down the stretch.

Sam's Club is an American chain of membership-only retail warehouse clubs owned and operated by Walmart. The Sam's Club in Ontario remained closed Friday.

Police in the city of Ontario identified the suspect Thursday as Hugo Gonzalez of Fontana.

After officers searched his auto, they found additional materials "similar to those used in the devices" that were found in the store, police said.

While at the store, police received information that helped them locate a suspect vehicle and a short pursuit ensued, officials said. Another device was found inside the vehicle near Airport Drive and Etiwanda Avenue, officials said. Gonzalez' multiple charges include arson, possession of a destructive device, and ignition of a destructive device. He said it will take "a little while" before police can clear the area.

Authorities say all of the customers and employees were accounted for and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the building. Police said Gonzalez is not a Sam's Club employee and is not connected to any known criminal organizations.
