Apple confirms iPhone X Face ID issue

  • Apple iPhone 7 Bug

According to an internal document obtained by MacRumors, the service providers will now be able to replace the iPhone X units with a new one, given the damaged ones are crippled with the Face ID issue.

In what seems to be a season of bug fixing season for Apple, the company is dealing with Face ID issues with the iPhone X and mic issues with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

That iPhone X you're holding, yes, it could have a serious issue. He has stated in his Reddit post explaining the problem, apparently, his iPhone X's both the rear camera and Face ID had stopped working properly.

The rear camera? Yes, it seems that the dual-lens camera at the back is somehow linked to the Face ID functionality. Again, it's a complex system, and it's evidently one that can be repaired relatively easily, or not at all. It recommends the workers to suggest users to first disconnect all bluetooth connected accessories. Surprisingly, models like iPhone 8 and iPhone X that have been repaired with genuine Apple displays were unable to adjust brightness automatically.

Marquez leads the competition with 70 points after four races. "When the three of them fell I could hardly believe it". Dovizioso dropped to fifth overall with 46. "Ok, we started on the second row but anyway today I was clever".

The tech giant reportedly has sent a support document to retailers and authorised service centres addressing this issue.

It's a good thing that Apple is replacing the whole iPhone X unit marred with the Face ID issue.

The iPhone X may be the best-selling smartphone in the first quarter, but it is far from being a flawless device. Unfortunately there have been a number of cases of Face ID failing to recognize users, even when trained correctly. The lenses differ on which they do. "My front facing camera works fine but the rear is messed up, which leads me to that conclusion".

It's hard to see how a rear camera failure could lead to issues with Face ID given its location. The front camera also worked in the affected device but the Face ID hadn't been working. If that doesn't work, a whole unit replacement is advised instead of a same-unit display fix. The Reddit user has mentioned specific issues with the rear camera with movements like pano, slow-mo and time lapse.
