  • Microsoft's 'Your Phone' feature is possibly a BlackBerry Blend alternative

MICROSOFT AND Google appear to have quietly sorted out the mess that was created by the Windows 10 April Update. In this build, you can access Cloud Clipboard by pressing Win+V, and the clipboard history supports plain text, HTML and images less than 1MB.

At its Build developer conference yesterday, Microsoft showcased what's coming for its Fluent Design overhaul of Windows and its applications, and there's definitely a lot of good news for people who like Fluent Design, developers, and yes, even power users. This could be because the feature will only work with Edge, it could be because Microsoft simply doesn't want to talk about other browsers, or it could just be because it's an experimental feature which other browsers will come to support in time. Currently, there is no patch or workaround available for the issue, it's expected that after Microsoft has found the root of the problem, it will release an update and make the Windows 10 April 2018 Update available to owners of the affected systems again.

Talking about the clipboards, Microsoft is adding cloud functionality to the Windows settings the path for which is Settings = System = Clipboard.

Furthermore, the company is now allowing developers to manage the colors inside an app, making it flexible to set the overall theme as per the brand's color scheme. Individual Sets tabs can be muted, like Edge, and you can specify whether you'd prefer new windows to open in the Sets tabbed environment, or within traditional windows. Sets will now feature browser tabs with you hit alt+tab, essentially bridging the gap between apps and websites. Similar to how the Windows Timeline or Sets function, Microsoft pointed out that users can access this clipboard across any Windows-powered PC running this version of Windows or higher. Write anything in the notepad and search for the same over the web through Bing. Those who don't require synchronization can turn it off, and if you don't require the storing of multiple items, then you can disable the feature as well. And, the built supports Unix/Linux line endings and Macintosh line endings.

"Listed as "Exploitation Detected", it is recommended to test and deploy the fix for CVE-2018-8174 to address how scripting engine handles memory objects - this should capture immediate attention", added Langston. "CVE-2018-8120 is an elevation of privilege vulnerability affecting Windows 7, Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2", said Wiseman.

In addition to all this, there is an option to name the title folders.
